Hot & Bothy is a community sauna retreat set behind Archerfield Walled Garden in East Lothian, around 40 minutes from Edinburgh. The site runs two wood-fired saunas — a traditional Finnish-style Bothy Sauna and Gurt's Yurt Sauna, the only publicly accessible sauna yurt of its kind in Scotland — alongside oak whisky barrel cold plunges, cold showers, and a central fire pit. Sessions run 90 minutes, Thursday to Sunday, and are open to drop-ins and members alike. The operation is queer-led and body-neutral, with a regular programme of seasonal events, Aufguss, and wellness collaborations.
